Music is Haram in Islam| Proof from Quran & Hadith
Music has been there for ages and has grown immensely in the past 3-4 decades. However, it is predicted to grow more in the future. Music is Haram in Islam, but some people are literally living their life for music. Moreover, they are devoting themselves towards this culture.
Scientifically speaking music do have positive things. In fact, when you listen to music it boosts your confidence depending on the music you listen. It takes full control of your consciousness. In addition, it makes you totally rely on it. Which makes a normal human being feel good or even motivated in some case.
Looking from the Islamic point of view
People go crazy for music. Specifically, on concerts and even clubs, they lose themselves over that. Point to remember anything plays with your consciousness is dangerous.
For example, Allah(SWT) has prohabited Alcohol and named it haram because it makes a individual to loose his conciousness
If we set aside this and take a look into the Quran & Sunnah there are clear prohibition signs for particular things. In fact, Music is one of the prohibited things.
Surah refering to Music in Quran
Allah(SWT): “And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e., music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allah…”
[Allah(SWT) said to Shaytaan;] And
Allah(SWT) says: “Do you then wonder at this recitation (the Quran)? And you laugh at it and weep not, Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)”
